The KwaZulu-Natal Zulu Royal House Trust, a Provincial public entity established in terms of KwaZulu-Natal Zulu Royal House Trust Act 3 of 2018 under the leadership of the Premier of KZN, launched its first Social Cohesion Project, the Annual Kurudi Festival in partnership with Art Vision.

As part of its comprehensive social-economic upliftment strategy, the two entities (KZN Zulu Royal House Trust and Art Vision) identified the staging of a Music Festival as the best platform to begin the vision of the Kurudi Festival, with the primary object of uniting the African community to forge relationship towards inclusive economic upliftment, social cohesion and promotion of cultural allegiances.
Art Vision coordinated the attendance and participation of different African Community Leaders who are based in South Africa including some Ambassadors.

  • Kurudi is a Swahili term that means: to renew, revive or return. The Kurudi Festival is geared towards uniting all African citizens with a common vision of bringing peace and harmony among all african communities living in South Africa

  • Because Shawili is the most language spoken in many African countries.

  • The Kwazulu Natal Zulu Royal House Trust Fondation is planning to take the Festival across various African countries with the objective of uniting Africans through Music Festival.

  • As part of its comprehensive social-economic upliftment strategy, Art Vision and the KZN Zulu Royal House Trust came together to unite South Africans and Foreign Nationals to stand together to build a better nation.
